Everyone is welcome at LOVECHURCH, whether you’ve been a Christian your whole life or never been before, it’s a place we hope you’ll feel at home.


We're a relaxed and friendly bunch, committed to encountering Jesus and being family together. As a church, we value lively worship, great teaching, prayer ministry and generous hospitality and we LOVE students. We've got two church sites, St Swithuns, in the centre of town which was planted from HTB in London back in 2014, and St Clement's, just a mile down the road in Boscombe, an area of significant need and missional opportunity. We find that most of the students in our church family come to our 6.30pm service at St Swithuns and enjoy serving across various ministries in the church, including kids & youth, worship, media, production, social justice or alpha.

The most important night of the week is our Student Night on Thursdays - it's our central gathering space for all LOVECHURCH Students. We meet at St Swithuns, or the beach when we can!

What do we do for students?

We are passionate about students at LOVECHURCH We want to see every student live wholeheartedly for Jesus in Bournemouth and we think that church is the place where that begins. We're aiming for LOVECHURCH to be a 'home away from home', where you can make lifelong friends and follow Jesus together in community. Uni can be the best years of your life, but we know there are also times when it can feel a long way from home (especially if you are an international student!) so we want church to be a place of welcome for all students.

We hope that our group will help you as together we learn what it means to follow Jesus. We're expectant that as we gather together we will meet with God and be forever changed!

- Opportunities for student mission, both on campus and locally.

- Mentoring and encouragement in discipleship.

Our group is aimed predominantly at university students however we welcome anybody between the ages of 18-25

Thursday night is Student Night. It's a time to gather together as a family, seek God in worship, eat together, pray with expectation and study the Bible. We meet at 7:30pm at St Swithuns - just turn up or get in touch if find it helpful for someone to meet you before hand.

Our Students always socialise after our Sunday evening service, either in the pub or on the beach.
