Our vision is this: to become a movement of missional discipleship with Jesus at the heart. By this we just mean being disciples who make disciples. This vision is for our communities, our city, our nation and our world.

Central is a church of many Missional Communities These are groups that form around a missional focus to be like Jesus in different and relevant ways to a vast range of people and interest groups, geographies, universities, schools and work places. They are the vehicle by which we as a church live out the vision that God has given us to introduce our friends, our colleagues and our neighbours to Jesus Christ and encourage them to be fully devoted followers of him.

As we live and share Jesus, we look for lives to be changed and prodigals to come home. This kingdom calling does not belong solely to Central:Jesus at the heart. We are excited about the potential of many partnerships, and look to share the journey of growing missional discipleship with other churches, ministries and organisations. What do we do for students?

We have over 50 students who are part of our church family here at Central. We love students and want to help them make Central their home.

Here at Central Students we want to be a community whose desire is to be rooted in God and rooted in Edinburgh. We want know our Father God more intimately, to live in community with one another and to go out and radically love Edinburgh. We believe that God has a great restoration plan for Edinburgh and we as students have been invited into this, to seek the peace and prosperity of the city.

How we do this is through Student Communities. These are groups of students meeting regularly to share in fellowship with one another, study the word together and look at how we can bring God’s love to the people that we know and the places we go in Edinburgh.

We also have Student Gatherings that happen once a month where we gather together for fellowship, worship and fun.
