We are a multi generational, multi cultural, inclusive family community who seek to be relevant in our fast changing world. We are intentional in the way we connect with our city & our aim is to always be an effective missional community. We meet at the St Thomas' Centre at the end of Lancaster Road North, right in the heart of the University Halls. It is a great space for us to worship corporately & hang out. We are modern in our approach to worship & have challenging teaching to help us grow & mature into fully committed disciples of Jesus.
What do we do for students?
At City Church Preston we have connect groups for young adults, monthly social events for 18-30s which always feature great food, great fun & provide time out to connect with others who are on the faith journey like you. We run a support group for LGBT+ Christian students, in connection with Diverse Church, which is a safe space to share experience of sexuality and explore and discuss the interrelation of sexuality and Christian theology. We run Being With, Alpha & Life on the Frontline, which are discipleship courses and help you to explore the Christian faith and understand how God is present and able to use your ordinary everyday life; making it significant and full of purpose. We offer a mentoring / coaching service for those who want to go deeper in discipleship. We want to empower you and help you to discover your potential, enabling you to contribute and become a part of the City Church Preston family. We look forward to meeting you and journeying with you through this part of your studies. We have a student team, who will organises pastoral care and support throughout your stay in Preston.
