Bethel Church Liverpool
About us
Bethel is a family, bible believing (evangelical) church and is affiliated to the FIEC
Bethel Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome.
We believe God is the creator and Sustainer of all life and has through creation and conscience, given us all an awareness of His existence.
Mankind is the crown of God's creation, intended for friendship with Him, but separated from Him because of our rebellion and sin.
The Bible is God's totally reliable explanation of who we are, why the world is as it is, and how we might come to know what life is really all about.
Jesus Christ is God's only Son who came to show us exactly what God is like. In His death on the cross He bore the punishment that we deserved for our sin, and His bodily resurrection to
life declared God's acceptance of His sacrifice - once for all.
The Future is neither oblivion or hopeless but a personal encounter with the Living God in a final court of justice, in which knowing Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord is the only hope of Heaven.
Salvation is entirely a work of God's grace and cannot be earned or deserved. It has been accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ and is offered to all in the gospel. God in his love forgives sinners whom He calls, granting them repentance and faith.
All who believe in Christ are justified by faith alone, adopted into the family of God and receive eternal life.
What do we do for students?
At Bethel we welcome students as part of our Church Family. We provide student lunches where you can meet people from Bethel, build friendships and meet with other students.
New students will be linked up with a church family where they can receive support through their time at uni and be invited for meals.
Once a month we have an 'Open House' at one of our couples house where the 18-30's meet to socialise, pray together and have a short time looking at God's word.
Students also get involved in a number of other activities in the life of Bethel Church.
