We try to be open and friendly, creative and modern, wise and down-to-earth, informal and relevant. We try to be a church where you draw closer to God, learn something useful, bring a friend without ever feeling embarrassed, always feel welcomed, safe and understood.

Penrallt is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Evangelical Alliance, as well as being part of the community of Bangor, Gwynedd (North Wales) and a member of CYTÛN Bangor (Churches Together In Bangor). As such, we subscribe to the BUGB Declaration of Principle and the EA Basis of Faith, as well as the Apostle's Creed.

What do we do for students?

Whether you're a new student, a third year, a PhD student... And whether you're a Christian, exploring faith or have questions... everyone is welcome.

At Penrallt Baptist Church, we want to support you as much as we can during your time studying at Bangor, whatever that may look like to you. If that is serving on various teams such as the tech team, the worship band, children's team, coffee heroes... we will find something for you! Or whether you'd prefer to settle in first and get to know the members, we want to help you do that.

Whatever your need, we look forward to welcoming you in and supporting you.

Sunday morning service: 10:30am
Sunday evening service: usually 6pm (on the first Sunday of the month we have a church lunch followed by a fellowship walk instead!)

We have Sunday services, homegroups, fellowship walks, spontaneous student/young adult socials... and you're welcome to come to as little or as much as you'd like.
