St Chads Romiley
A bit more...
St Chads is a growing community of all generations of people who love God and seek to share his love with Romiley. Our core vision is 'More people more like Jesus' and we express this in 3 ways: Glorifying God, Loving Community and Following Jesus.
Glorifying God is an expression of our love for God and passion to worship him and live in a way which points people to him, not ourselves and part of our desire to seek to live holy, loving lives rooted in the Bible.
Loving Community is both the type of church we want to be and how we want to live: We want to be a loving, generous hearted, living in humble healthy unity and depth of relationship. We want to love our community with God's grace and generosity and show hospitality and serve practical needs in our community. We have a growing passion to combat all forms of poverty in our community too.
Following Jesus: we want to be a community of disciples, living in Jesus' ways, growing to be more like him, seeking to know him and live for him in every way.
You can find out more about us as www.stchadsromiley.co.uk or our facebook page.
Sundays: Our 9.15am congregation are mostly retired and the service is more structured with weekly communion. The 11am service has contemporary worship, teaching and space for the Holy Spirit to move and us to encounter God.
For the range of midweek mission initiatives see our website.
St.Chad's has close links with New Wine and other charismatic networks of those seeking to see God's kingdom advance and change our nation.
St Chad's has close links with Fusion and we support them as our mission partners. Although we don't have many students in our community, we really believe in church-based student mission and helping students find a home in a church where they can flourish.
What do we do for students?
Romiley isn't packed with students, but we have a growing number of young adults & young families and our hope is to be a church where students can be supported and empowered to thrive.
