At St Matt’s we want to provide a space where students and young adults feel at home and part of the family. We’re a large-ish church, but we’re small enough that we can offer somewhere for you to be supported, known, and have plenty of opportunities to get involved. Most of our students and young adults come to our 6.30pm service, which is particularly aimed at this age group, but we are blessed with a diverse age range that really makes us a family.

We meet on Thursday evenings at St Matt’s for our student and young adult group from 7pm with food, followed by some worship and then break into smaller groups to read the Bible together and pray for one another.

Both of these weekly gatherings are central to making our church-wide vision of being ‘passionate about Jesus’ a reality in our lives. We’d love to have you join us as we learn together what it means to follow Jesus in our world.

What do we do for students?

We are an Evangelical church of all ages keen to welcome students into our church family. You'll find Bible teaching, a mix of worship styles and folks of all ages eager to help you find a home away from home.
There are loads of ways to get involved, to serve and to grow, from 'Saturday kitchen', helping to feed some of the most vulnerable in Cheltenham, to our worship team.

10.00am Sunday morning for a relaxed service with our church family of all ages.
6.30pm Sunday evening for an informal service with contemporary worship, Bible teaching and plenty of time to chat and get to know each other.
7pm Thurs evenings for food followed by Central Small Group Bible study with our students, 20s & 30s at 8pm.
