Reading Family Church
A bit more...
We are a lively church family of over 600 people with a vision to be a growing, Jesus-centred community, bringing God’s Kingdom to Reading and beyond. We desire to grow in our worship of Jesus, aligning our lives to the Bible's teachings, whilst helping others to do the same and knowing, accepting and caring for each other.
We want to play our part in meeting the needs of our town; helping create footprints of justice, mercy & hope. We want to bring joy, peace and transformation wherever we find ourselves during the week and to be those who joyfully share our time, talents and treasures to further God's kingdom beyond our horizon!
We are part of the New Frontiers worldwide family of churches, and are keen supporters of the Christian Union at Reading Uni.
What do we do for students?
We are committed to seeing students integrated into church life, being your spiritual family throughout your time in Reading, and helping you to grow in your own walk with God. The Student Team, led by Joel Miller are here to support you with that. Activities include:
Student Lifegroup – Join us on Wednesday evenings we gather in homes near campus for worship, bible discussion, prayer and to share food together.
Student Lunches - Join us each Sunday after the 11.30am meeting for a free lunch in the homes of RFC families.
Student Nights – monthly Friday gatherings where build friendship, and have a lot of fun! Look out for our Great Student Bake Off and Christmas Ball.
Student Weekend Away (20-22 Feb) - an annual weekend of deepening relationships with God and one another.
We'd also love you to get involved in wider RFC life through joining a serving team, mentoring... Do reach out if you'd like to grab a coffee with someone from the Student Team or find out more!
